The impact on patient care is profound, with increased in-hospital mortality rates. Protecting patient safety and sensitive data is paramount. Hospitals and clinics must prioritize cybersecurity by implementing employee training, strengthened IT security measures, data backup and recovery, and comprehensive incident response planning.
