The LockBit ransomware gang has attacked Granules India. Granules India is a pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in Hyperabad, India. It employs 2789 people and was founded in 1984. LockBit posted Granules India to its data leak site on June 14th and threatened to publish all stolen data on that same day. LockBit posted a statement to its data leak site, which reads: “Granules India is a company that does not know what cybersecurity and data protection are, during the pentest of its corporate network we found more than 10 critical vulnerabilities that allowed access to its private data. Moreover, this company refused to protect the data of its employees, customers, partners and investors in a case where it could and should have done so. As proof that we have infiltrated and encrypted this company’s corporate network, below I attach a link where you can download 50% of the data we stole. The rest of the archive, along with information about vulnerabilities on this company’s corporate network, is for sale. We strongly advise all clients and partners not to cooperate with this company, otherwise you might suffer because of their negligence and carelessness.” Granules India has neither confirmed nor denied the incident.

Recent Ransomware Attacks
The Recent Ransomware Attacks (RRA) site acts as a watchtower, providing you with near real-time ransomware tracking of attacks, groups and their victims. Given threat actors’ overarching, lucrative success so far, ransomware attacks have become the most ubiquitous, and financially and informationally impactful cyber threat to businesses and organizations today.
The site’s data is generated based on hosting choices of real-world threat actors, and a handful of other trackers. While sanitization efforts have been taken, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of the data. Attack updates will be made as source data is reported by reputable sources. By viewing, accessing, or using RRA you acknowledge you are doing so at your own risk.
